Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps was founded in 1970 by
Reverend Harold Durando in order to provide efficient, quality medical care and
transport to the area. COCVAC is organized as a non-profit corporation subsisting
partially on public and private contributions and partially on patient third party
insurance billing. The purpose of the COCVAC is to provide ambulance pre
hospital care and transportation for the sick and/or injured persons within the
villages and hamlets of Clark Mills, Westmoreland, Clinton, Lairdsville, Oriskany,
Lowell, Whitesboro, New Hartford, Vernon, parts of Rome and areas surrounding
those villages and hamlets.
