Did You Know?
It is estimated that emergency services volunteers save New York State taxpayers an estimated $9 - $10 billion annually. The Association of Towns has stated that “should the volunteer aspect of fire and ambulance services disappear, the burden to provide such services on a completely paid basis would raise property taxes beyond the ability of many town residents to pay.”
Where does your money go?
As a private not-for-profit corporation, COCVAC does not receive tax dollars, county, state or federal funding to support operational expenses. The service we provide is funded entirely by third party insurance billing and your generous donations. At COCVAC, our commitment is to our mission. As a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation, we put our money where our mouth is. By reinvesting our net income into our services, we are constantly working to improve our ability to meet our mission, not the self-indulgence of owners or shareholders.
Your contributions directly affect our ability to improve our emergency service capability throughout the community by ensuring that our community has access to ambulances 24 hours a day, that the ambulances are properly supplied and maintained, and that the providers responding to each emergency are professionally trained and equipped with the ability to provide lifesaving treatments and care.
Our board members are business owners and community leaders who volunteer their time representing the communities they live and work in. With your support and their proven leadership we can continue our mission not just tomorrow but for years to come.
