Ambulance Ride Along
Every year EMS answers thousands of calls for help, and now you can learn firsthand about the training, equipment, and satisfaction of supporting your community during an emergency. In addition, this unique opportunity provides a close look at what EMS is about and how you can volunteer or pursue a career in pre-hospital medicine.

Ride Along Information
Participants must be of sound mind and physically capable to take part in the Ride-Along program. They must be at least 18 years old or 16 with parental consent.
To participate, applicants must complete and sign the Ride-Along Information and Request Form, Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, and Accident Waiver and Release Form before riding. COCVAC will review applications and notify applicants of their approval status and scheduled ride date.
Ride-alongs are available seven days a week during the following time slots:

6 AM – Noon
-
Noon – 6 PM
-
6 PM – Midnight

Requirements
A full list of requirements are in the ride along information form to the right.

Riders must wear Appropriate attire which is suitable for having public contact.

A black plain T-shirt or Polo Shirt.

Black EMS or Khaki style pants.

Black boots or sneakers. *No exceptions*

Dark jacket permitted in colder weather.

Ride Along participants may not wear any FIRE and or EMS agency logo apparel.

Bring enough money with you to purchase any food or refreshments you might want to consume while you are riding along.
